Governor Cuomo is seeking support from "Black Democrats" in New York to stay in power, which is the element connecting these following two seemingly unrelated articles:
- Cuomo leans on Black Democrats and old friends as he fights for his political future
- New York Assembly's Choice Of Impeachment Firm Faces Criticism
The second article relates the conflict of interest that as arisen from New York Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie's hiring of a law firm with ties to Governor Cuomo to run its impeachment investigation, which has been accused of being a sham. While not new information, we linked the story because it shows Governor Cuomo rubbing Speaker Heastie's shoulders, as the Speaker is one of the "Black Democrats" from whom Cuomo is now seeking support.
The "ick" factor is high with Lindsay Boylan's description of Governor Cuomo's alleged sexual harassment of her. If you read other contemporary headlines involving some combination of the words "dog" and "mount", it came from the following interview:
On the same vein, did you know Governor Cuomo says mean things to people he sees as underneath him? Junior members of Team Cuomo and other are coming forward to describe the toxic culture promoted by Governor Cuomo within his administration, in which both alleged conduct and reporting are on par with elementary schoolyard bullying and tattling:
- Cuomo made one aide cry by ridiculing her haircut and made fun of a male staffer for being 'fat,' new report says
- Scandal-plagued Gov. Cuomo once allegedly threatened New York Times reporter: ‘I'm going to ruin you’
- NY Times Releases Proof That Cuomo Lied About 'Child Rapist' Threat
- JUST IN: Current Cuomo Aide Speaks Out Accusing Governor of Sexual Harassment (This is the NYT's coverage of Accuser 8, a.k.a. Alyssa McGrath).
The New York Times really hasn't distinguished itself with its chosen narrative coverage of the Cuomo administration's scandals.
Speaking of which, the scandals are changing both the way Governor Cuomo does his job and New Yorkers' satisfaction with his job performance:
- Larry Schwartz’s calls to county executives are classic Cuomo
- Cuomo Approval Rating Drops Dramatic 30% In New York State
- Majority of likely voters say Cuomo should resign
On that first story, it's more than a little scary Governor Cuomo is using the official he put in charge of New York's COVID vaccination effort to deliver such political messages to county and local government officials. Is he the vaccine equivalent of Seinfeld's Soup Nazi?
