- AG James still has another Cuomo probe on the table re: book deal
-
The day before NY Attorney General Letitia James' blockbuster report corroborating the allegations of sexual harassment levied against Andrew M. Cuomo came out, news reports indicated her office extended its contracts with the law firms hired to conduct the AG's investigation into December 2021.
We initially interpreted that action as indicating her office's report on Cuomo's sexual harassment misconduct would be delayed, but since that report came out yesterday, it now makes sense the additional time will be used for investigators to focus on Andrew M. Cuomo's $5.1 million book deal:
Though James and investigators dropped a nearly-170 page report Tuesday, it solely focused on the workplace environment at the governor’s office and accusations of harassment against Cuomo.
She said Tuesday in her press conference that her office is still looking into claims that the governor misused his office in completing his book, using state resources to produce and promote “American Crisis: Leadership Lessons from the Covid-19 Pandemic.”
Andrew M. Cuomo's legal problems are far from over.
