20 August 2021: Cuomo Moves Out of NY Governor's Mansion

After several weeks of a relatively high number of stories revolving around Andrew M. Cuomo's scandals, we're reaching a point where we'll soon have a lot less news to cover as Andrew M. Cuomo leaves office. We suspect we'll have a flurry of stories next week when his resignation takes effect, but the pace of Cuomo scandal stories coming out from New York will soon be paced by legal developments, which means our coverage will thin to perhaps a less-than-daily pace as the political side of Cuomo scandal coverage fades.

Our primary focus remains Cuomo's COVID nursing home deaths scandals and cover-up, but we'll continue to feature related Cuomo scandal news as it might intersect that larger scandal.

Speaking of which....

Moving trucks seen outside of Executive Mansion ahead of Cuomo’s exit

This story marks Cuomo's premature physical exit from New York state's Executive Mansion:

Andrew Cuomo appears to be all packed up — with no place to go.

Moving trucks were spotted Friday outside New York’s Executive Mansion, three days before the disgraced governor has to be out.

A U-Haul and at least two pickup trucks were parked outside the mansion in Albany first thing in the morning.

At least six workers could be seen unloading dollies and carts from the truck before heading inside.

After being unloaded, the U-Haul was then moved out of site from the road.

It is not yet clear where Cuomo is headed when he leaves his lavish digs and his resignation comes into effect at 11:59 p.m. on Monday.

Cuomo doesn’t have any property in his name, public records show.

Cuomo was paid millions for his pandemic "leadership" book and his political campaign organization has an $18 million warchest. We're pretty sure he can afford to put his things in a storage facility while staying almost indefinitely at the Ritz-Carlton New York, Central Park, even with his upcoming legal expenses, if that's what he wants to do. And that's not even tapping his $50K/year annual state employee pension, which for him, would just be walking around money.

In the meantime though, we can't help but wonder if he watched this helpful video:
