12 August 2021: The Point About NY Governor Andrew Cuomo

Why is everybody missing the point about former NY governor Andrew Cuomo?

When we launched the timeline, we never expected to be citing an article from the Girls Ask Guys dating advice Q&A site, which demonstrates it is more willing to venture into Andrew M. Cuomo's COVID nursing home deaths scandals than the New York Times and other major news outlets.

The guy was shipping covid positive seniors back into nursing homes back when the pandemic was at its height. New York State as of today has the second highest covid death count (just behind California). More importantly it has the 2nd highest covid deaths per million (New Jersey was 2nd place).

And yet the guy was lauded as some sort of model governor being groomed for a presidential run. He was loved by the media because he was an outspoken critic of Trump. He got a book deal with $5.1 million dollars about what “a great” governor he was during the pandemic.

Yet Cuomo tried to cover up the nursing home scandal buy having the seniors deaths reclassified as “died in the hospital” to evade the fact they likely contracted covid from other covid positive seniors who were shipped back in the nursing home. That’s illegal.

Don’t get me wrong his sexual misconduct was bad enough to get any politician (right or left) fired. But the Democrats found a perfect scapegoat/smoke screen excuse to get rid of him. They don’t want his senior COVID fatality scandal going public. That would make him look much worse.

It would also expose many more Democratic party members currently serving in New York's state government to the risk of serving time in jail for their roles in implementing and enforcing Cuomo's deadly 25 March 2020 directive and make it harder for party members to get elected. Some say it would potentially take down the three other Democratic party governors who followed Cuomo's deadly example.

It's why news outfits like the New York Times seeking to push Democratic-party friendly narratives jumped on board Cuomo's sexual harassment scandal train with such gusto. They never showed a similar enthusiasm for covering the much bigger scandal of Cuomo' COVID nursing home deaths scandals happening right on their own doorstep. Cuomo's very real sexual harassment scandals were their ticket to surgically remove Cuomo to protect the party's larger interests.

Other news outlets with strongly left-leaning political biases, such as the Albany Times-Union, didn't let their political preferences stop them from effectively covering Cuomo's nursing home scandals. There's something much more corrupt at work at the NYT and at the national news networks that follow its lead.
