- Cuomo approves funding for potential impeachment
-
The weekend news cycle would be much more interesting if he had vetoed it, but for now, Governor Cuomo is on board with spending taxpayer dollars on the New York Assembly's glacially-paced impeachment investigation and a potential impeachment trial if the Assembly's probe ever reaches an end in the state Senate:
Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Friday evening signed into a law bill that would fund his own potential impeachment proceeding in the state Legislature after it was given final approval by state lawmakers this week as investigations into multiple controversies facing the three-term Democrat continue.
As it is, we think this weekend's news cycle out of Cuomoland will be fairly light.
