10 November 2021: Transcripts of Cuomo Sexual Harassment Probe Interviews Released

Andrew Cuomo and Accuser's 'Highly Confidential' Interviews Among Flood of Documents Released by New York Attorney General

The release of the documents means the public can now learn what both Cuomo's accusers said and what Andrew M. Cuomo said regarding his alleged sexual misconduct incidents. Here's an excerpt from Law & Crime's coverage, where references to screenshots refer to photos included in the article:

Andrew Cuomo’s criminal case appears to focus on allegations by his former executive assistant Brittany Commisso, whose allegations on the CBS This Morning interview screenshotted on the right closely track the details of the complaint.

New York Attorney General Letitia James (D) released a flood of documents on Wednesday supporting her investigation into former Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D), including once “highly confidential” interviews with him and his accuser by the state’s investigators. Andrew Cuomo’s criminal case appears to focus on allegations by his former executive assistant Brittany Commisso, whose allegations on the CBS This Morning interview screenshotted on the right closely track the details of the complaint.

That's a reference to the first case filed in Albany County. In that case, Cuomo has been charged under a "forcible touching" criminal misdemeanor. The comment above indicates Brittany Commisso's statements are similar to those she made when speaking with CBS News' reporters in a televised interview.

Perhaps of greater interest are Andrew M. Cuomo's statements:

“That never happened,” Cuomo testified on July 17 this year. “Let’s just — you know, at one point there has to be a little reality. To touch a woman’s breast who I hardly know, in the mansion, with ten staff around, with my family in the mansion, to say ‘I don’t care who sees us.’

“You’ve investigated me for six years. I would have to lose my mind to do some — such a thing,” he continued. “It would be an act of insanity to touch a woman’s breast and make myself vulnerable to a woman for such an accusation.”

Here's additional coverage focusing on Cuomo's sworn statements in the probe:

Andrew Cuomo 'not absolutely sure' he never kissed senior staffer on the lips: Testimony

This report from the Washington Examiner picks up on another Cuomo statement involving allegations made by two "senior staffers":

Former Gov. Andrew Cuomo is "not absolutely sure" he never kissed one of his senior staffers on the lips, according to testimony released by Attorney General Letitia James Wednesday.

The admission that he may have kissed an unnamed aide identified as "Senior Staffer #2" is an apparent reversal from Cuomo's previous frequent denials that he ever engaged in inappropriate touching.

"People who I've known — I've worked with [Senior Staffer #2] for [REDACTED] years. I don't even remember all the situations that I've been in with her, the weddings, the — the deaths, funerals," he said during July 17 testimony before investigators hired by James. "Over [REDACTED] years could I have kissed her on the lips? Am I absolutely sure I never kissed her lips? No, I'm not absolutely sure I never kissed her on the lips."

The former governor said he "kiss[es] on the cheek as a rule" but conceded "it could happen that somebody kisses on the lips," saying only he couldn't recall having kissed aides identified as Senior Staffer #1 and Senior Staffer #4 on the lips.

There's enough material being made public that we anticipate Cuomo's legal and PR team will be busy for several days trying to suppress the fires. We'll pick up additional coverage as it might relate to their defense strategy.
